what is the relation b/w E1 &E2 whose respective wavelength r 400& 800 Ao . SIR I WANT TO KNOW THE RELATn b/w ENERGY & WAVELENGTH . ARE THEY DIRECTLY PROPTIONAL  ? ANS OF THIS QUES IS E1=2E2

E = hc/λ

so E is inversely proportional to λ

We know that E=hc/λ  where h =planck's constant ,c =speed of light and λ = wavelength. SO

 

E1=h*c/400

hence h*c =400E1  , equation 1

 

E2=h*c/800

therefore h*c=800E2 ,equation 2

 

from eqn 1 and eqn2 ,we get

800E2 =400E1

2E2 =E1
