x(√1+y)+y(√1+x)=0,prove that dy/dx=-1/(1+x)2

Read 1 Solution.

x(√1+y) = y(√1+x)

squaring both sides we get

 x2 +x2y = y2 +y2x

x2 - y+x2y - y2x = 0

(x-y)(x+y)+xy(x+y) =0

(x-y)[x+y +xy] =0

»» x=y [ not possible] and  x+y+xy =o

                                            y= -x/(1+x) then differentiate......
